wow i guess with all these replies i'm gonna have to deliver on those pics! i finally got word that the wheels are ALMOST done, the guy is some crazy perfectionist.. that means I should get my car tomorrow night.

actually i knew what i wanted thanks to this forum. otherwise i would have done everything the hard way. THANK YOU CLUB LEXUS!

i'm going to look forward to any further mod suggestions too.. the next thing i'm interested in is changing all the interior lights to LED but I'm not sure how to do it or what package to get (still confused after visiting the l-tuned site).

Ya, since I heard that the ride is definitely more stiff, I decided against it for now. The car is already a decent upgrade from my current 2000 Accord! This is just a daily driver, no racing/track for me. I figure if I get bored I can always add it later. Only a few hours until I pick it up!

I think the F sport sways just make daily driving much more fun probably. I don't have them but I have read on CL that it is definitely a MUST.

It can only be described as having been carved by the hands of angels.. this car is AMAZING! Every bit of the car is perfect, bravo to the engineers at Lexus.

I'm also happy with how the wheels turned out.. I wanted it to be aggressive and masculine, but not over the top and 'gangsta.' After all, I take it to work and park between a 911 Turbo and a 911 Carrera.

This late at night, all you'll get is this crappy pic.. hopefully I'll do a better shoot over the long weekend!

Next on my mod list.. looks like there is a strange mixture of halogen with LED/HID. There's some sort of light (parking assist?) above the high beam that looks like an ancient throw back sort of bulb... the reading lights and other lights are LED but the main dome is halogen... fogs are halogen too arent they? If anyone can point me in the right direction regarding modding those, I'd appreciate it a lot.

finally had a chance to take some pics, more to come this evening hopefully.

of note, i came to the interesting discovery that the dealer, rather than just adding the f-sport springs, also added the sway bar and shocks. and i was wondering why the cornering was so tight... ride is firmer but i guess it's nice to have.

damn nice wheels.

just curious, how much did you pay for your car including all the mods done by the dealer?

Dont think it's kosher for me to answer that directly, but out the door I'll just say it was north of the msrp for a new isf.

I was afraid of that. What made you choose to have the dealer do these mods (along with their markups of same)? Was it just the convenience?

Your car looks fantastic, but you might have saved thousands of dollars through DIY.

Well there's several factors. Convenience is huge, not invalidating the warranty is another especially considering i bought the extended warranty. I actually did get a break on the mods (I didn't get a break on the actual car which was a special order, called several dealers who refused to drop the price on a special order). The wheels though were not through the dealer.. neither was the tint. They were through associated vendors but the cost was rolled into the final purchase price. Wheels ended up being more expensive that I first expected because of the cost of the paint job (but I have to say, that the painter deserved it.. amazing job).

The biggest factor by far though, is that I actually saved thousands compared to DIY because whatever I did was included in the final purchase price.. don't know if I should elaborate that, has to do with this being a work vehicle.

As you all probably know, there's no way to do justice with these pics.. especially with my shabby skills and limited photo time (had to sneak away for 15 minutes to get these).

I think Vossen deserves some serious praise.. I really love how the wheels turned out, they are the perfect blend of aggressive yet understated and elegant style. I stared at a lot of wheel pics including vossen's photo shoots, it's hard to compare the photos to what it looks like in person.

Congrats dude!! You probably have the most expensive Lexus IS now, as far as sticker price with all the extras!! I didnt know the dealer can add products that are not their's ex. Vossen wheels. Pretty cool
