does 20" rims rub???

I'm thinkin about gettin some 20's for my ride bec I like the way its looks but I was wonderin if they rub when turnin??? Curious bec it kinda sounds like it does now with the stock 18's but I'm not sure if that is rubbin...

steezy Nov 17, 2009 09:55 PM

well... how low are you? and what sizes? tires series?

iRock Nov 17, 2009 09:59 PM

Stock height. I don't think ima lower it any time soon if ever. To much for me right now

iRock Nov 17, 2009 10:05 PM

As far as tire size not really lookin for a particular size. Just lookin for somethin that doesn't rub.

Wierdazndu Nov 17, 2009 10:09 PM

if youre at stock height it shouldnt rub if you stick with conservative size and offsets

My fronts rub. I am running 20x9 or 9.5 upfront and it rubs a lot. It has some pretty thin tires on it also. Stock height.

offsets??....

If you roll 20's and not lower it, it'll look like a 4x4 F-150. Don't do it.

^^^ I agree. I have 20s and before I got my car lowered....it rubbed. But it looked hideous IMO. I got the car lowered and some thinner tires and the rub is ridiculous. The rub was manageable without the car being lowered but with the car lowered, it's just horrible. I'm looking to go to a body shop and work out a solution. By the way, I have 20x8.5 and 20x9.5 lowered on eibach.

^^ what offsets and what tire sizes? (both have big impact)

kickin8 Nov 18, 2009 09:19 AM

or go with 19"

iRock Nov 18, 2009 11:56 AM

Thanks for all the input guys. Ima probably go for 19" bec 20" sounds like trouble

IXI187IXI Nov 18, 2009 01:29 PM

agreed, offsets play a big part as well as the tire size.
