Sorry to see your loss. Either they thought you had something in your jacket or they were breaking your window just to simply do it. Maybe they must of thought it was easier to break your window since it was tinted, shatters less. Hopefully insurance will take care of everything.

I had the same thing happen to me when I had my RX. It was parked in the city and I was dumb enough to leave my backpack on the floor in plain sight. Stole my backpack which had my law books. Law books ended up costing about half the price of a new window.

Sorry to see this happen to you! Maybe your ex IS the crazy ex and did this? haha I remember this happening to my g/f's car (not her IS) a while back. The people took absolutely nothing. All she had in there were CDs and some other little stuff but nothing was taken.

Sorry to see this happen to your 2IS. When we lived SF, my Honda Pilot got broken into in the parking garage. Thief ganked our DVD player. I totally feel your pain.

sorry to hear this... if theft is common in your area, look for unbreakable tint. there are a few in bay area that offer this. prevents breakins... basically u can throw a brick at the window and it wont shatter. a bit on the pricier side compared to regular tint, but it does the job. film is as thin as regular tint.

Ugh! Hate seeing stuff like that happen! Could have been any one of us.
I was going to post this as a seperate topic, but may as well here. I'm currently working with the LAPD on local break-ins in my area and have started up a neighborhood watch program. My main reason? My area gets a lot of car break-ins and I don't want my car getting smashed. Selfish, but maybe it will pay off for me and others. The main thing I've learned from law inforcement is to not leave one single thing visible inside your car. Day or night, it makes no difference when. No trash, no coins, wires, devices, navs, papers, books, clothing... ***nothing****. This sends the message to the thief that nothing is in the car worth checking so best go smash the next one. I have to say I've lived this way for several years and my car has never been touched while all my neighbors have had problems.
So hope they catch the bad guys and lets all do our part in protecting our cars as best we can.
