Default Whats this object doing behind my rearview?
A little while ago I noticed this black thing stuck on the windshield - behind my rearview mirror. There are wires coming out of it going into the headliner.




Anyone know what it is?

my guess is light sensor, rain sensor, and thermometer.

Unless you have rain sensing wipers, it looks like the XM receiver/antenna in the wife's Scion.

I dont have rain sensing wipers, but isnt the shark fin for XM?

I dont have jojack (not that i know of! )

But this makes me wonder why I have a shark fin since thats whats supposed to hold the XM antenna. So my shark fin is all for show? lol or is the AM/FM antenna up there?

do you mean the little box next to the rv mirror mount? it is the gps for your nav system, i look at the different IS which don't have NAV, so they don't have that little box.
