When I sold my impreza I told myself I wouldn't mod my IS. Maybe just lower and rims. That didn't last very long. ha ha.

To quote my friend
"You don't get old and grow out of the scene. If you do you we're never really into the scene."

Umm... 30s not even old bro.. lol and yes u should mod the car .. but def not like ur "honda " days... lol dont rice it up.. nothing wrong with giving it a nice mild drop if u dont wanna go to aggressive and put some nice 19"s on it

with the isx50 u can do jus the simplest mods like that.. and itll look better than an honda that is really modded lol

edit: and some red outs only 15 bucks and itll make a big difference

HAHAHAHA ... im 42, go to my sig and click on mycar and tell me im too old to do what i did , i've even revived the hawaii chapter of CL to the point that we have our own regional board here

AND... imo, someone who grew up driving during the FWD era *late 80's on up* and not the RWD era *before 86* isn't really 'old skool'

i was actually ok UNTIL i met REV-01... then it was all downhill from that point on

I'm 21 and feel like i'm almost falling out of the Mod stage, but i prove myself wrong with everyday (with my car, electronics, etc, spent 3 days modding xbox's last week lol)

As everyone else said, nothing wrong with a nice set of wheels and a GFX kit.

your never "too old" to do anything. your only as old as you feel. so if you feel old at 30 your gunna be bummed when you become "over the hill". look at lou from what it sounds like, he doesnt feel a day over 21

It's the best seeing older people mod their cars. It shows that older people can still enjoy the little things in life. : D

EDIT: Im married with children. Driving a lowered 2IS with rims would look kinda funny when my kids and wife are in it don't ya think? (correct me if im wrong) And yes, i will buy another car once my budget is reach
This is a great topic Tandy350 and im glad you brought this up. I have to feel you on this one. I myself is on the edge of being 30 and i got my 2IS not too long ago either. However the difference between you and I is that im single & no kids. So i went to go ahead and ordered me some basic parts for this car such as my gfx kit & tein s-techs. But on your case since youre married with kids, i think you should just wait until you get your other car bcuz you defenitely have a point there, having your wife and kids in this modded 2IS everyday driving around will look kinda funny especially when younger kids out there trying to race you when your family is in the car its just not appropriate. So my advice to you will be just to wait imo
