Registration for my 07 350 was around $300+ last year. I'm expecting it to go up again this year.

I wonder what kind of premium you paid over what we paid here in the U.S. and if that has anything to do with why your registration is so much less...?

Quote: Hey everyone, i was just wondering, if you guys don't mind, how much are you paying for your registration? I just renewed my 08 IS this month and it was $489!!! Damn, is it just me or did DMV raise registration costs? Does Lexus really cost that much to own? I guess for it being a luxury car it would cost more but I just wanted to know. This is my first Lexus so I have no idea.
Where do you live in WA? Registration is only $33.75
http://www.dol.wa.gov/vehicleregistr...newalfees.html

Now if you live in the Seattle area...you may be paying something in addtion to registration. About 7yrs (?) ago WA changed their registation from a % of the vehicle value to the flat rate. Back then it was very expensive. I think it was 2% of some 'undepreciated value'. If your car is 'worth' $35K in the eyes of the state, its a healty $700..but those days are gone..so you must be paying some local tax in addition to the registation

My g/f's is $442 for her '08 IS350; we're in the Bay Area (Santa Clara County) - she brought it up last night and it reminded me of this thread... haha

I believe it's $89.00 in Ohio no matter what, more if you have vanity plates.

Registration is cheap. I think it is under $75 in Massachusetts or are you taking about the excise tax? That was over $200 for me

$380 here in Quebec because it's a V8. If I were above 5.0L I think it would've been something like $460.

Are we talking registration or property tax? My VA registration is about $70, but my property tax is about $500.
