Question Flutter from A/C

I noticed a low frequency flutter sound from my A/C system when it's in fresh air mode and the fan is barely running. I was able to duplicate it with the car off and the air on. If you play around with the A/C without the car running, it's easier to hear. Has anyone else heard of this?

I had this in the driver's side vent and the Stealer replaced the defuser end. No more noise!

Are you referring to this type of scenario:

If so, I'd love to know what it is.

Yes! That's it exactly. I tried to get the tech to listen to it this morning while I had the car in for service, but of course, he couldn't hear anything. I think the techs should all get those Listen Up devices. Thank you for your reply!

Glad to hear it's the same issue.....now if we could only figure out what it is.
In the tech's defense, it is noisy in the service dept, and the more veteran ones have probably been around loud noises their whole life anyway while working on cars. But it should still be figured out.

I have the asme issue except it also has a slight whistling noise to it too. I'm too lazy to take it into the dealer to have just THAT taken care of. It actually gets louder as fan speed increases though so it does get annoying. The only reason I heard it was cause I turned my music off for one moment to hear a Ferrari go by. If it weren't for that F430 I would have never noticed.
