Luxury package!
As for the OPs issue, I have the same concern as him.. hope this gets clarified!
Canada have the base basic model u never imagine ...
cloth seat no power tilt steering .. no power windows... 16 inch rims ...
no nothing
for 4000 dollars ... they will give u leather ... heated seats .. no ventilated seats ... power sunroof and 17 inch rims .. thats it ..LOL
u americans dunno how lucky u are .. ><

So Boshi, I'm guessing that means the 2009 IS 350 will NOT have:
1) Memory seats
2) Power tilt and telescopic steering wheel
3) Auto-tilt and dimming side mirrors
and others that i neglected to mention...

I'm not sure if its because of the way the IS 350s are built. I'm looking at an "new vehicle inquiry sheet." It shows the VIN as well as the packages that are equipped on the car.
For this particular one I see---
FL: 18" 5 spoke wheel.
HW: Headlamp washer.
PA Intuitive Park Assist
Z1 Prefer Accessory Package
HL: HID HdLamp
NV: Nav System
PT Premium Package.
So there is NO Luxury package. My salesman said, very confidently, that my car would come with memory seat, power tilt steering wheel. When I asked if I would be getting the rear power sunshade, he said he was unsure.
When he said that, I had to think a little. I recall people saying that if you see memory seats, thats the first telltale sign that you have the luxury package...
When I call the guy again tomorrow, I'm going to have him double check what the car has.

This is why they say "buyer beware". If he told you the car had memory, power tilt, but not sunshade, then is should have come with Sport Pkg, and the invoice should have said so. Once you sign the paperwork, and take delivery of a car without the features you "thought" you were getting, you are f'ed.
I actually did the opposite, I requested not to have luxury package on my IS. I think the luxury features are great, but I didn't find the need with some of the features like the NAV, memory seats, telescoping SW, headlight washer, rain sensor, etc...
I seldom use those options with my other car now. I dislike the NAV the most! May only be me, but the lady talking irritates the sh#t out of me, "In a qtr. of mile make a right turn", "Make u-turn if possible"...
I actually told the voice machine at one point to "Shut the F#ck up! It's your fault I'm lost!!"
