I have an 06 is250. recently every time i turn off my car and get out i hear a warning sound that is similar to the one if you leave your lights on when you leave the car. There's nothing on the screen, the lights are off etc etc. The sound goes away when you close the door but this has never happened before this week? any solutions/answers?

i'll answer. its because you open the door before you turn off the car.

 

you never open the door before you turn off the car... what if you open the door before you turn it off and someone just grabs you/pulls you out/steals the car and goes to watch the Leafs lose... again

 

My car dosent beep when I leave my headlights on..
Is it for the halogen ones?

 

it doesn't beep for either halogens or HIDs. The lights shut off automatically after a minute or when you hit the lock button twice from the fob.

the beeping the OP is talking about is because he/she opened the door before turning off the car.

 

sorry i meant in other cars the light warning sound. the is250 doesnt have that

ah! that must be it thanks a lot guys =) i never thought of the whole process of turning off the car first then opening the door. just kind of do it all unconsciously heh
