Just bought my is350 yesterday!!!
Got a 2006 is350 smokey granite yesterday and love it so far. Had to drive an hour and half to get it but for the deal i got it was worth it. So anyways im new to this site and new to the car and basically just trying to get a good idea of what i have on my hands i guess. The only thing im having trouble with is with the navigation, my current position is no where close to what it says it is, i was reading something about calibrating the system or something. Also im not looking to do anything too serious yet cuz of the money i just put out for the car but whats some good inexpensive mods or little tid bits that i can do to get me started.

Thanks. yea im gonna try messing around with it some more, ive gotta be doing something wrong,,but yea its under warranty either way. And yea vboy im def getting the windows tinted 1st thing, then changing out those ugly yellow fog lights

Yea You might be having the same prob with the nav as I do in that you have pre 6.1. Basically that means it is really old (like 3-4 yrs) and things have updated since then. I really have no clue on what to do. On one hand if i get directed to another closed down gas station or starbucks i am going to scream. But on the other I REALLY enjoy the nav hack but i hear that if I update the discs i will lose it (like so many 07+ owners).

welcome to CL. Think about getting redouts. simple mod, cheap and easy to do, and improves the look of the rear in a subtle way. Other than that, make sure your tire pressure's set right, see if you need to do any of the TSBs or recalls, and enjoy the ride!
