Would it be possible to just change the projector lens and do the washer mod to get the color you want? ( i know output may not improve, but it will give us the color we want correct?)
Yeah its possible just swapping out the lens, but the hard part will be finding lens that fits the projector housing. Gotta do some research to matchup the specs... but you will definitely get much better results doing the full swap/retro.

I am thinking of redoing this retro with a better and different projector combo even though I do not know exactly with what; but it will be done in the future. I will start testing after more research and trail and error to find a better combo to produce even more WIDTH (namely speaking).
Go with LS, tsx or s2k projectors FTW!

my old s2k retro...

the LS is far too large to fit into the IS250/350 housing
the TSX is inferior to his current modded RX set up
The OEM s2k projector is roughly similar to his set up now

if anything is my guess, i'd say that he's waiting for the next big single xenon projector.
Perhaps a modded RL with tsx-R clear lens?
hybrid sc430+rx330+E30s?

LS is too big for the IS headlight. The TSX projectors are not as good as the RX330 with custom shields. The RX330 with custom shields are more brighter and intense than the S2000 projectors; there was a side by side compare with the RX330/custom shields vs S2K. The Hotspot on the RX/custom shields kills the S2k's

BINGO BINGO BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I am thinking about the RL with clear lense and the SC430/RX330/e30 combos. They are definately on my future retrofit list for my IS.

did you have to make custom brackets and do the whole jb weld thing with the 2IS housing or do the mounting holes matchup?

Mounting holes definately DOES NOT match up at all. I had to do ALOT of cutting and JB welding to get the projector to fit into this housing. Its heavily modded for sure. Our housings are so limited in space! I can barely change out the bulbs.

Hey great work, finally done with it. Now our headlights look the same since we both have the ace flanges. Glad it turned out great for you. I am actually doing my foglight retro right now too, you should get it done too so we can be the only 2IS with retro lights. (Sorry ELLY, but hurry up and get yours done!) I will be positing up a DIY for the fog light retro very soon though.
