I have the exact same problem. The front tires are the worse. The inner and outer tires on both fronts are worn out, but the middle is still ok--but experiencing normal wear regardless. So from what everyone's saying, an alignment and toe adjustment is necessary?

How often do you have to get it aligned like this?

Check to see if your car is part of the campaign for the steering linkage. They are supposed to do an alignment after replacing it. I am not sure if my dealer did the alignment since he told me that I needed to replace my tires and should get and alignment after that. I challenge him on it since he told me that an alignment would be done after the steering campaign. My tires are also worn on the inside and I have 24k miles and I push the limit on my air pressure. These low profile tires ride to much on the edges and I have heard that toe in helps in quicker handling.

Who told you that lie? Any autocrosser will tell you toe OUT helps the car turn in quicker and it kills your inside edges. Toe in saves your tires and improves gas mileage. Excessive toe in wears the outside edges. In a dynamic state (while driving down the road at your typical speeds) you want toe to be as close to zero as possible to reduce wear and reduce rolling resistance on a street car. On a race car you don't care as much about tire life so you set up the car to go fast and call tire wear a cost of racing.

These "low profile tires" don't ride anymore on the edges than any other tire, but you do need to put enough pressure in them so they don't wear out the edges first. ALL tires will wear out their edges first if they are underinflated.
