But, that's just my opinion.
i think it has to do with the mirror itself. i used to drive an a6 with a sunroof, my mirror never shook, no matter how loud the music was and how much the windows were open. as opposed to the IS RVmirror, it shakes when i turn up the music and when i open the windows.. i believe it's more the quality than the wind turbulence...

I've got a similar question. My RV mirror (its outer part, the front plastic frame) creaks and rattles every now and then. Techs say (is it true?) that the mirror can't even be disassembled so one could remove that front frame and put some silicone on it to prevent it from making creaking sounds. This sound is just as annoying as the infamous dashboard rattles. Anyone encountered this mirror problem and found a solution?

Did it quell the shaking? Is the mirror redesigned?
Need more info on this latest TSB and if it's truly a different mirror.

Is the structure itself different? Thicker frame? Homelink buttons still lined up on bottom?

That's just about right...

These are the newer mirros that will be found in the 2010's..

TSB stands for Technical Service Bulletin.
But that term has been also changed this year to LSB

LSB = Lexus Service Bulletin.

Not so fast. I had my car in last week for this and they refused the work. Said my mirror already had the "corrected part" on it. I had it in once before for this issue last year and they replaced my original with another one of the same design (as far as I can see). So because of that, they are saying the "improved" one we are talking about here (from the IS-C) is not needed. What's the point of having this new TSB if they aren't going to honor it? Mine still vibrates with the roof open, albiet not as bad as the original one did. I too drive with mine open about 95% of the time.
I am going to speak to the dealer about this again even though I already learned to live with it.
But a warning to anyway who's had theirs worked on already, they may give you some static about it.

New RV mirror is about the same with the old one.... it does vibrate lil less... i got mine replaced for same reason however when you turn your music volume about 25 it starts to vibrate again...
