I have a '94 dodge duster and it's seal is still in good condition. I see people with '94 and '95 honda's that don't even have this issue.

I wash my IS about 3 times per month, and I keep a car cover on it so it won't get beat up by the uv rays. I take pretty good car of it, but looking at the seals around my windshield really is an eye sore. I paid good money for my ride, but in some instances it has the quality of a cheaper vehicle. I'll call corporate tomorrow to express my concerns and to determine "what can be done".

Thanks for posting this thread OP. I noticed cracking rubber trim on my IS also, and it never crossed my mind that I could have it covered under warranty. I'll bring it up when I bring it in for an oil change.

I never really look at my rubber trim. Good catch! I'm going to look at it during my lunch break lol. It's nice to know that the warranty will cover it.

During lunch I decided to go outside and take a look at my car since everyone was talking about the trim and mines starting to crack by the windshield. I guess I'm going to schedule something for this soon. Thanks for posting this up

Just for kicks tell them you have a friend that is having the same issue but that he is out of warranty. Ask them if they can replace that one as well because it is abnormal wear and tear.

I' am out of my warranty and wanna know if they can still replace it w/o and extended warranty...

I had the same thing after a year of owning the car and the dealer replaced it FOC. No problems. As good as new now.

Mine are really, really badly cracked on both sides of the windshield. I'm fighting for replacement under warranty 2 weeks now. I swear these guys at Lexus got their jobs through Craigs list!!

Let's see some pics, and why aren't they replacing this for you?

I had my lower windshield seals replaced under warranty earlier this year. Dealer didn't ask me twice about it. However, the car now makes a whistling/gust of wind noise from that area, right around 40 mph. I now have to take it back in and try to convince them their work must have thrown something off.
My side window valances are also cracked on both sides. Actually, they are not cracked, they are rippled. Is that how yours is too? My car was delivered new that way. I brought it up to one dealer and they declined replacing it. A second dealer said they would next time I bring it in. At this point I'm nervous having any stock parts replaced out, being it often causes ill fit or rattles.
