Default Wiper speed too fast

Hello,

While I love my IS350, I have to complain about the speed of the auto-sensing wipers. Even with the sensitivity set all the way down, they run too fast for my taste.

Today, during a very light drizzle, the speed was nearly as fast as the normal setting. The wipers were chattering because they were running too fast for the slight amount of water on the windshield.

Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity beyond the +/- control? How about turning off the sensor completely?

Thank you in advance,

Rick

Move your right side stalk from Auto to Off

Default What?

Unless I am not understanding you, all that does is turn the wipers off.

There is no sensitivity setting for the auto sensing wipers that I'm aware of. There is a setting that turns on the auto sensing wipers, a slow setting, and a fast setting.

Yes there is. It's just like the control for intermittent wipers.

Except when it first starts raining, I've found the sensor to be pretty good.

I am wholly unimpressed with the rain-sensing wipers. Personally, I turn them off then use the mist function manually -- just like in my 1979 Mercury Capri.
