Default Jump nav help

So I just did the nav hack and installed the Vaistech ipod video adapter. I also installed the switch for destination entry. Everything seems to work, video while moving, phone book, files, destination entry enables/disables by the switch.

Unfortunately the GPS is sorta all over the place right now, in the sense that it is not accurate anymore. Can anyone give me some ideas as to why this is happening and how to fix it?

I feel confident i connected the correct wires (pink/white on the wireloom side).

so one thing i noticed yesterday was that when I recalibrate the nav, it seems to work ok. When i flip the switch for destination entry mode, and then back off, it loses sync of my location, and never regains it.

im about 98% sure i cut the right wires, and connected the correct sides. i used butt connectors (similar to these: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=095-554) ...there could be a chance i crimped too hard? not really sure.. any thoughts would be a huge help.
