IS250 Retrofit in Progress
Its possible to go that route. I was thinking of going with the camry projectors to do the retrofit on the fogs if I decide to do so. The reason why is I already have a 3000k kit for the camry projectors.
The Garax bulbs are very very nice for 100 bucks. You cannot go wrong with those. I decided not to go that route because this retrofit I am conducting is better OVERALL in terms of output, beautiful thick color band cutoff thats plenty sharper, brightness, intensity, width and it has a very nice color flicker when driving/looking towards the retro. Instead of covering 4 or 5 lanes on the road, this retro will enable me to cover 6 or possibly 7 lanes.
Yeah the black out housing looks okay on black and white cars imo. But I wouldnt put it on my Lexus. iono call me crazy!

we both be crazy.
and I'd definitely love to have that projector/lens combo on my car.
I'm somewhat disappointed with the beam pattern, clarity, output, just about everything with them.
I went with a simple fix of just gettin 6000k bulbs from xenondepot since I don't know how to do a retro and i'm not mechanically inclined.
the 3000k xenondepot 9006 fog light kit will be coming off my car. it's got too many wires and the driver's side keeps going out.
probably just go *gasp* stock bulbs till something better rolls along

The way lexus designed the projector is horrible due to the structure of the car, which molds the design of the headlight. The projector is a side entry bulb socket; this affects the output adversely. there are other cheaper ways to get a sharp cutoff with the ISx50 projector; this requires ALOT LESS fabrication. But every man for his taste or wallet
Wow love your light project!!! that is more extreme than what I did with my turn signal mod...and thought I was gutsey....your effort really paid off IMO...great light output and cutoff...congrats!
Thank you thank you. and thank you.
Yeah I was intimidated by the idea of a retro on my Lexus at first, but then the more I learned and explored the IS headlight, the more confidence I had to do this project
