Hahaha I made a pipe bomb but it kept slowly leaking so I just put them in my spare.

Sounds like you did not use enough PVC glue or did not let it dry enough before pressurizing it.

I thought I'd make a cooler design with threaded caps at both ends. I put sealant in the threading but it still leaked. Oh well, I like the spare tire trick better.
