to upgrade the maps on the navigation it would cost u like around 200 for the disc only. installation would be another fee if u are doin it by the dealership. to upgrade to the ML version is goin to cost quite a bit and to find the parts itself. i didn't say it was impossible but im sure i seen someone done it but he did the install himself with a friend. i dont know how much the whole thing cost. my suggestion would be to actually buy the nav tv and plug in an external dvd player to it and u can watch ur dvd or tv on the dash. the kit for it was recently in a group buy for 200. the group buy is over but u can still get it on ebay for like 350 or less.

No, there is no way you can charge a ipod/iphone through the headjack. You could get the ipod interface, then you could control the ipod through the steering wheel controls.

The new 8.1 Navi disc is about $240 at the dealership I think. And no, you can't charge the phone through the aux cord.

Yep... planning on using my NON-ML navi to play some divx and whatnot stored on my flash drive or SD card...

all you need is this player inside your glove box : .... and the NavTool Teo mentioned of course..
