Coolant brand?
i want to just add some. im getting close to low. is that normal for 2 year old car? and where do i add it? the cap that says do not remove if hot(metal cap)?? or the rubber cap on top of the clear plastic coolant reserve?
If you just want to add more coolant, just add distilled water. Unless you live in Alaska, you don't need a 50/50 mix anyway. I run a 20% antrifreeze / 80% water mixture in mine since I live in Texas, and it rarely gets below 20 degrees F.
You should actually buy the Toyota pink coolant 00272-SLLC2 as it is pre-mixed and you do NOT add water. It is added in the coolant reservoir - the black plastic snap-off cap with two hoses on it. Do not remove the radiator cap. Also, the 50/50 mix does more than just keep it from freezing. It also raises the boil point of the mixture and provides corrosion resistance to the cooling system that a higher concentration of water does not, so even those in Arizona should use a 50/50 mix.

Besides, it is pretty clear that the OP is just wanting to raise the level in the reservoir to make up for a couple years of evaporation. If so, then he should NOT add any more antirfreeze. He should only add distilled water.
You've been reading too many antifreeze ads. The only good reason to use a 50/50 coolant mix in a modern car with an adequately sized coolant system is to prevent freezing in very cold climates. In warmer climates, a 20/80 mix with Redline Water Wetter is better.

so im thinking of doing this as well. should i just do a radiator flush?
