Repaint Time! Plz help me pick a new (CUSTOM) colour
There’s only one shop at this part of Saudi that I would hand my car for a paint job. After discount, they quoted a full (PPG) paint job for 3,750.00 USD, except special colours including Candy Red (so Candy Red is scratched out). Greate news is that they claim to guarantee match-painting the front parts for 1,050.00 USD only, that’s hood, front bumper, front lip, fenders, mirrors & side skirt.
Thanks Naif, yeah the colour I am going for the centers is a dull chrome but darker than normal chrome, I'll be using Alsa Killer Chrome. The reason why I am saying just the centers is because I just found someone who can refurbish the wheels to their original condition, so it looks like the lips will be chrome after all
Right now, match-painting for 1050 USD is my best option. Matador Red Mica (MRM) is getting a last chance from me because I'm switching jobs and I should be moving to Jeddah by February, it's WAY less dusty & there aren't any sand storms so I'd want to see how the MRM survives there... If i still don't like it, I can get great quality paint jobs there for around 2000 USD. Looks like it'll be Audi's/Porche's Meteor Gray Metallic
r u not gonna paint ur wheels Black Chrome? or just a light layer of regular chrome?
I think that should affect the color of the car as well
looking forward to what color u decide no for ur car. dont do anything close to the original line up of colors if u really want to stand out. Candy red (m6 one) could be good, i always liked ur car cause it was red. or even a nice dark green could look hot. i dunno get to photoshoppin and lets see the diff outlooks

hmm if they can guarantee it, give em a shot! cheapest option is always the best one. Your IS is prob the nicest one in Saudi anyway. how much more did they want for the special color full paint job? Sides i know u wanted to do some interior coach building work on ur IS, save the money for that. Matador red is a unique color here anyway
Im gonna be very interested in seeing how the killer chrome turns out on ur wheels cause i too am consdering paint my wheels either black or black chrome but right now im too scared.
lookin forward to seeing the pics of ur refurbished car, esp since u havnt posted any up with the fab lip.
looks like MRM is getting a last chance for now but that paint ^^ on the GT is close to what I might go for later on, here's a closer look to what I had on mind, Audi's light gray and also the wheel finish i'm after:

I just got my wheels back from the first shop, there were able to fix my dents and take off the whole damaged ionized layer bring the wheels back to bare metal making it cheaper and easier to maintain once damages reoccur

You should really look at White with black wheels...as many people quote it "white is the new black, and white with black wheels is even HOTTER"...look at this video and listen to the skinny white guy http://www.tuninglinx.com/videos/top...ini-lp-560.wmv
