HELP! 2006 Factory Chrome Wheels Eroding!
I have a 2006 IS 350 and recently had my tires replaced for the first time, 25K mi. After a few days the air in the front, left tire was gone. I took it back to the tire place b/c I thought it was probably a bad tire or something, but they showed me on the wheel where it was eroding on the beads, prohibiting the tire from making a good seal. They are the factory chrome upgrades, not after market, and I think this has to be a defect and hopefully the warranty will cover the problem and have them replaced? Has anyone else had this problem?
Any help/comments is greatly appreciated. I have an appointment at Lexus tomorrow.

I have a Supra with Chrome factory wheels. I had a slow leak afte 4-5 years and was told by the tire guy where i purchased my last tires that this normal with Chrome wheels. At the bead, water will sit after a rain or wash but without having driven the car. Over time, it corrodes and creates a less than perfect area for the tire to seal. The solution is to check the area, wire brush it off and apply a sealer between the wheel and tire. Problem solved and that was at least three years ago. Does not show. The corrosion does not occur between a non chromed aluminum wheel or a steel wheel, apparently, or is so slow, you don't notice it.
