Default Problems with the Alignment after only one week?

CL,

I have only had the car for one week and the car feels like the alingment is off. Its steering toward the right pretty bad. Anyone had this problem? The IS250 is brand new, I bought it with 4miles on it. What really makes this worst is when I called in today the service departments rep trys to tell me I might of hit a curb thats why my alingment is off, after I went off on the guy he then trys to blame in on the roads of Jacksonville, telling me the way Jacksonville roads are built all cars go toward the right... WTF? I'm going up there tomorrow to talk to the service manager. I know I have a 50k warrently and shouldn't have to pay for an alingment, RIGHT? the car is only 1 week only with 152miles on it.

Well my question is do they have the right to charge me? With my 03IS Glen (retired) fixed EVERYTHING for me. I surely miss his service, I had 2 rims changed, CD player changed 3 times, pieces in the interior replace, and bunch more....

^ Thats what I thought, its really upsetting after buying a $34k car and going back next year to buy a GS or ES that they need to charge me. I could understand if it has been a few months and I've been driving the hell out if it but I have only taken the car out of the garage 3 times. lol

The alignment is covered for the first 12 months or 12000 miles. So, no, you will not have to pay for the alignment, as long as they can duplicate the concern with you on a roadtest. I can say that my car does drift to the right as little, and ive done 3 alignments on my car in the 5k miles ive owned it. Ive also changed wheels/tires, and no matter how perfect i get it, my car still has a slight drift on certain roads. In the end, your service department should be able to do an alignment for you at no charge. Hopefully your concern will be fixed after that.

is the steering wheel straight but its still going to the right? It could be the craptacular dunlops if yours came with them. Lotta people had the problem that it was drifting to the right on dunlops

i had the EXACT same problem on my car. Basically the toe got thrown off on one side of the wheel so the steering wheel never seemed liek it was centered when i drove. It probably got thrown out of spec going over a pothole or steep driveway. I just took the car back and they did a complimentary alignment for me since the car has barely 5k on it.

umm i forget but it could be something about shifting something forward with our cars.. i forget. my friend does this alot on the 2is's it pulls to the right most the time.. something about 4 bolts underneath and 2 more bolts then using a pry bar to shift like the whole suspension and stuff a bit forward then retightening them while in that position.. bah im not the tech but its something like that and i bet it is that for a fact!
