That is a lot of repair for one car. I would recommend going over every aspect of the repair after you pick it up as to get everything back 100% oem is extremely difficult. Always those angling items that were missed. Best of luck.

Thanks for the advice. I am generating a checklist and plus will bring the car manual and go through each function before taking delivery. They are also taking the car to a Lexus dealership. I asked the dealer to go thru all the functionality with a fine tooth comb and test the car. I will also take the car to my own Lexus dealer for final check.

If you don't mind my asking, how will such extensive repairs affect your current parts warranty coverage? I saw there was a claim that all work was covered under warranty by the shop/insurance, but this doesn't particularly cover parts failure/malfunction.
Glad to hear that you were fine, and hope the car is repaired to your satisfication.
The fix is about $24K-$26K. The value of the car is around $38K-$39K. For the insurance (Allstate) to totalled it, they were looking around 75%-80% of the car value.
How come 2 year old car value can be 38-39k. It should be current used car value around 32 33k. 24k/32k = 75%. If I were you, i would not take it back. Anyway. did u get DV yet? In case, what is your VIN so that i can avoid to buy this one

I was told by the bodyshop and allstate that the current OEM warranty for the car still applies as if the car was never involved in an accident. When they fix the car, the idea is to bring your car back to pre-collision condition.

My car is fully loaded and it was valued here in Phx area at $35K. Most used car like mine goes for $35K in a car dealer and of course you have to pay tax (8%) and hence the value going to $39K.
No real update. The car was finally taken to a Lexus dealer yesterday afternoon, not to a place where I expected. The body shop took it to the dealer where I bought the car; the shop told me the one that is near them would not get around to it for another couple of days so they took it else where. This about 2.5 weeks behind schedule but not that bad. I talked to the dealer and told them to do a "PDI" as if the car is brand new. They told me they will and threat as if they where selling the car to me new and will do detail functionality check. Barring any problems in the electronics communications, I should see the car sometime this week for pre-delivery inspection. I hope to get the car no later the end of next week.
