Sad... but true. Speed + inexperienced drivers = death.

Runways are particularly deceptive with speed because they are so wide. Even Clarkson has them put up "BRAKE" signs telling him when to jam on the stoppers.

Heat soak isn't something that happens while the car is being driven hard. It happens while idling or sitting parked AFTER the car is driven hard. If your car was loosing power while you were driving it hard, something isn't right.

It felt like it was losing power, but who knows the butt dyno is inaccurate. It was not a big difference, about the same as turning your A/C on and off. The 95 degree temperature on July 4 probably wasn't a big help either.

Well, that would make much more sense. After doing a couple laps, it's bound to feel less powerfull to the *** meter.
