I paid about $1000 over sticker. Really wanted that car and was in a bidding war with someone else who was going to finance.

Anybody here in NOVA bought a car from pohanka or lindsay lexus? and how much discounts? any helps is appreciated.
If you want to skip the tiresome dealings, offer a 'fair' price below MSRP (I at the very least expect 2,000 off) on the car you want with its given options, and pit one dealer against the next. Try to work up from your number, instead of down from MSRP if they don't like it. If you don't have dealers in your immediate area, give others a phone call and let them know of your business, offering price, and to get back to you if possible (it helps if you're willing to make a deposit/down payment that day). Lexus of Alexandria is willing to negotiate, as is Silver Spring MD (where I got my car). If you want persons to contact, I can forward the info.

Someone before said Toyota employees couldn't get discounts on the IS... but that might have been when it first came out.

employees are elegible for any toyota, lexus vehicles..... it just depends on the dealership.... certain dealership won't accept the discount if the car is such in hot demand.... i had to go through 3 of them before one would take my discount on a is350.... the others only let me have the discount on the is250.

wow thanks shinobi-x. I was scared that I would have to go somewhere far to get a nice price for this car. I live around silver spring and am willing to go to the one in Alexandria. do you mind sharing your experiences with the dealers and what they offered. Thanks in advance.

Also, it depends on what type of employee we're talking about. Most dealerships offer the cars at invoice plus $100 to $1000 for paperwork/dealership costs for most employees. Some people can get 10% below invoice. It just depends on the dealership and employee status.

you guys in the hartford/springfield area REALLY should consider balise lexus. they gave me a great deal and are treating me great. they also treated me very well before I ever made a purchase with them. I got 2000 off plus free xm radio so the overall discount is probably more. then I found out that since they told me I was tier 1 credit but then told me I was tier 2 they still gave me tier 1 benefits. if you want the name of my salesman let me know.

When I bought mine (September, 05), these cars were like hen's teeth, so I had very little room to negiotate - I did get an excellant trade on my '01 IS300 tho' - 19k and I got the sales tax credit on the 19k.

The poll is a nice effort to get a feel for what people have been able to
get their IS for. However it becomes not too useful because it does
not differentiate between 250's and 350's. Another important factor
that is also omitted is whether the car was in stock or not. Everything
I have heard from all the dealers is that they are not willing to deal
on a special order. There are just too many variables involved that
will determine what a dealer is willing to do.

My dealer will not move on a special order 350. After their inital 350
demo that got sold, they have not been able to get another one.
They have only gotten one special order 350 per month in the last
four months.

I was luck that my salesman made a mistake on my 350 order. They did
not update it when I changed it to include ML and switch from Lux
to Sport over the phone. The original invoice also did not include
headlight washers and the prefered equipment group. As a result,
I am paying $1000 less than MSRP. The sales manager has agreed
to eat their mistake.

I just sat in my car this afternoon at my dealers and will pick it up
on Friday after it goes through their detail shop. The car looks Awesome!

Anyone in the Louisiana area got any type of discount at all? I been nagging at my salesman for the past month and he wouldn't budge one bit. The whole lexus seems shady since there are no other lexus dealers around this area and told me they selling all IS 250/350 at MSRP. Please let me know if anyone receive any type of discounts. thanks

They surely are racking in the easy $$$ tho thats for sure.

I think the price is more accurate if we separate 350 and 250. When I contacted the dealers, there is no 350 in the slot. All the 350 are pre-ordered. They just show you which car is coming. The normal wait is only 2 to 3 weeks. At the same time, there are 10 250 in the lot so I am sure the MSRP off price will be quite different.
