well new GFX is for sure... so that may mean no new front or rear, just new upgrades? who knows.... and on the topic of that pic... thats definitely old. Im glad they kept the altezza style tail lamp lighting subtle on the new IS... u can only really see the two separate reds at nite with lites on.

 

Speaking as a parts girl, I haven't heard any information about new parts upgrades, but its about time Lexus does release new stuff. Nothing has gotten to me about upgrades though. When we receive the '09 catalog, we should get a better idea of the changes on the IS, if any. Hope this helps a little. I'll keep you guys posted if I find out anything different.

This may be a little off topic, and maybe the wrong section, but I would be pissed if the IS changed as much as the 09 Infiniti G is speculated to change. After 2 model years, the G35 may turn into a g37 with 20+ more HP and a 7 speed transmission.

Please Lexus, only minor changes.

I called Lexus HQ looking for some info and was told the first week of Sept.

 

well infinity/nissan is well known for their yearly upgrades in options and horsepower... its how Goshen got nissan back in the limelight starting with the first of the acceptable altimas back in 2001... its also a great way to make people buy new and screw their current customers. But business wise it was a good move for them... if only their designs stayed up to par... it looks like they are just making bootlegs off their own design at this point. They are tryint to make the GT-R the same as the LF-A as far as it being a flagship, but it definitely not as cohesive as the LEXUS L-Finesse... its awesome to be able to look at the LFA and be like, wow so many of the lines on the IS and LFA correspond. But a bump in HP especially in the 250 wouldnt be a shock, but hey we will live.

 

Any details on the '09 model? I'll be in the market for an IS in about a month or two and may considering holding out that extra month if the upgrades on the 09 seem worth it..

 

Price increase maybe, cuz us dolloar staying south.
