only need to take off the two side silver panels to pull that off?

pull the silver panels/pull the console and you'll need a small size phillp screwdriver, the +/- is inside a thingy you'll need to take apart, i never did it yet thou, i went outside and lexi was filthy from yesterdays rain so i detailed her instead

Take out the prndl plate and using an exacto knife, carefully scrape off the paint from the back of the + and - and then apply white and black paint where is needed.
