Lexus cuts 350 production....

Great point. Also Lexus and their dealers have one of the best relationships as they won't OVER produce where a dealer has tons of Lexus on their lots and they are forced to sell for less than they want. Or the cars that don't sell take up space for inventory that they could get that IS selling.
The IS is getting a refresh for MY 2009, not a redesign. Along with that, we should be getting coupe and convertible variants of the IS.
The next-gen IS won't arrive until MY 2011, at the earliest which would mean a market debut in late 2010, no earlier.

What does a refresh usually entail? Will there likely be any changes to engine output for the 250 or 350?
The refresh will include some minor exterior changes, likely some exterior color changes/additions, and is rumoured to bring along an updated interior. We may or may not see powertrain changes.
I honestly hope that isn't the real reason. That would be one of the silliest things ever if Lexus is truly directing IS350 buyers to the IS-F. As good a performer of the IS-F is, I actually prefer the IS350 over it based on looks and over all performance vs cost. At the moment, I would actually buy an IS350 with Nav, but I wouldn't buy or get talked into buying an IS-F. That car is just not for me and if they are doing this I'd go to a competitor.
no way thats the reason
probably just a face lift coming
