Post Thoughts after 1 year of ownership

So I have had my 2008 IS350 for a little over a year now and I figured I was share my thoughts about owning this car for a year. The main reason I chose this car over others, such as the 335i or G35/G37 was because of how reliable it was. The only major thing I have had to do to the car over the past year was change the spark plugs! Besides that, it has just been regular maintenance. The car handles well too (of course it does help when the previous owner installed a rear chassis brace). I may eventually get the F-Sport sway bars to help reduce the roll a tad though. I still get amazed at how this well car pulls too, especially from 40-60. I do wish this car had a little bit more power on the low end, but it's still not bad by any means. I definitely would buy this car again as it is a sports car you can get with higher mileage and not have to worry about lot of maintenance. I plan on keeping this car for another 4 or 5 years hopefully too. As far as mods go, I do plan on doing a lot of stuff (just don't have the money for it right now). This includes, F-Sport Sway Bars, OV-tune, headers, roof spoiler, and a new front lip since my old one got messed up. Also plan on getting some body work done so that I can get some dents out of the car as well. But the bottom line is that if you want a reliable and more sports car,. the 2IS is for you!

Yea dude I totally agree! Ive had my 2006 IS350 for just over 1 year and I love the car--its sporty, fast, luxurious, and reliable! This is why Lexus rates number one on the JD Power ratings. Mine has 148K miles now and I fully expect it to be reliable for the time I have it--which is indefinite. No other car such as BMW, MBZ, or any American car can match Lexus in terms of reliability and durability. It was a great purchase!

Yeah the first car I ever owned was a 1993 Mercedes 300E (which I got for free). Got it with 140k miles, and that car had so many problems from start to finish, which ended up being the reason I sold it. I hate it when people try and say Lexus is boring just because it is a Toyota. Clearly they haven't driven an IS or RC.
