Hey guys, ok this was the outcome when I went to the dealership.

Lexus was willing to cover the parts for me, and I had to pay the labor.

The total was $172.50 for labor, which i paid.

What do you guys think?

I think "goodwill" repairs like this one contribute to increasing prices for maintenance as well as original purchase price.

I'm shocked/amazed that the dealership is willing to partially pay for this.

Even though I know a lot of people are gonna say its my fault, and not Lexus fault.. but.....

I had a Mercedez, BMW, and Hummer before I bought my IS, and I have been using the same "Air Freshner" spray on all my cars, and this is the first time this has happened to me.

We bought a Toyota Corolla for my girlfriend, and we sprayed the air freshner in her car, and it doesnt happen to her car.

I learned my lesson, and everybody here has to beware - BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU SPRAY AIR FRESHNER IN YOUR IS, BECAUSE IF IT HITS THE RADIO PANEL, THE PAINT WILL COME OFF.

I believe it should have been a warranty replacement.

Sounds like a good compromise.

"Goodwill" repairs like this contribute to owner loyalty and repeat business.

I say kudos to the dealership for helping the OP out.
