How to tell if car has HID?
Hi all, I notice when I turn on my headlight, I hear a buzzing sound as if you're next to a big light bulb. Of course, I don't hear it when I have my engine on because of the engine sound. If I have AFS feature, does it mean I have HID? I just haven't had a chance to open the hood and look at the bulb yet.

If you want whiter lighting, you may refer to the below. You will not fry anything if you simply replace an HID 35 watt bulb so no worries.

Hi,
Thats correct. D4S is if your vehicle has OEM HID low beams. H11 is if your vehicle has OEM halogen bulbs. I personally would not suggest going with anything above 6000k if you want to stay with primarily a bright white output. I'm not sure if you saw our promotional thread for D4S bulbs however as a ClubLexus member you do benefit from a discounted price. Here is the link for more information:

most popular color on site seems to be around 6k. I purchased 5k aftermarket and it was bright enough for me.
I would say:
4300k: white with dim of yellow
5000k: white
6000k: white with dim of blue. This is usually the best looking color.

The Kelvin index is based on the arc of ignition causing the xenon gas molecules to become very active. This is what subsequently produces that color effect. I stick 600k and love the effect on both the road and appearance emitted from the projector lens.
