maybe coz you are at socal. but 500 vs 150.. my friend sure got ripped off there.

also solargard is not that good compared to 3M. 3M is much better in quality, and I got it cheaper.

2 hours to do mine (just have the back and rear windows done). I have SunTek film, and I love it! I paid about $200 for mine. Make sure you get a film that doesn't effect the electronics in your car. Also keep in mind that the tint place will be taking off the inside panels in your car to get to those little windows on the side passenger seats.

Well the time will depend a lot on the temperature outside, the hotter it is the shorter it will be. Here in the winter, we usually have to leave our car for the day for the film to stick to the windows...

[QUOTE]
I Now live in Phoenix and its only $140-$170 or so for even the best tint shop.

I think it should be a standard equiptment for cars there. On a trip to Phoenix. Rare did I see a car not tinted. Maybe very high competition since its so common.

I paid the same price 250.00.... but I had a mobile service come to me and did it at my company's service bay (no wind and dust). Same price.

Lexus glasses are UV protected. You don't need to tint except for privacy or looks. If you're tinting mainly for UV protection for leather then save your money and don't tint at all.
