Default what up dooodz

just thought i would share my experience...

for the past couple of weeks, i have felt like i am done with the lexus. the mod bug bit and it has finally healed. in my mind the car became exactly what i pictured it to be when i first got it. i enjoyed it thoroughly, and i received all of the responses and reactions that i was aiming for. because i have completed modding my car, i feel ready to move on to something else. as nice as my car looks now, i can't get this feeling out of my head that it's still baby "balling". it has an appeal to a certain group of people, mainly younger kids around town. i want something bigger, better, and sicker than before. i thought about the 335i, but realistically--it's just the same **** different toilet. i want something more appealing. which is why i have come to the decision that the entry level lexus or bmw are not what i want. idk, it just feels like every kid in town is rolling in an A4, C, IS, or 3. mainly i am thinking to get either an Audi S5 or a range rover sport.

opinions?

I've heard the S5 has had some electrical issues, beautiful cars though. Not a huge RR Sport fan, my brother had one for about a year. Thought it would pull a lot harder than it did (supercharged). Gass guzzler for sure. I'd keep the IS

I wish I could convince you to be happy with the Lex, but it is a matter of opinion. I to heard about the S5 electrical in Consumer Reports.

Dude Ron, you're still a kid!
Keep the IS until you graduate college, at least.

It WILL NOT do you any better if you have more people hating on you for having a nicer ride than you do now. You'll just have to watch out for your car even MORE- especially when you're in class.

There is ALWAYS something to mod...you can help me mod my car =)
I'm going to do sound proofing pretty soon, you can come and help me.

Anyways, my stuff should come in tomorrow. You want to help me install it on Thurs?

Keep the car until the warranty is up.

RR have a history of bad electrical issues. They continue today, my friends former boss sold his RR sport because it was in the shop atleast once a month for problems or bad workmanship.

Get a GS!

I completely read u man. Sometimes I feel the same about modding in general. I would like to get a car that it comes with all the things I like in a car. Of course mods are gonna be always present, but in a softer way...not changing the general of your car. IDK....my opinion...get the range rover sport....it is a lot of fun to drive and still looks awesome.

If you've got the coin to drop on a new S5 or Range Rover Sport, I suggest waiting until the Nissan GT-R arrives later this year. That'll get you looks for sure. It's also an aftermarketer's dream.

You are seriously disapointing me!

You still havent post pictures of your ride yet

So how old are you?

I would say keep the 2IS for a little longer and think some things over. As the economy goes and some people are having some money troubles. It might be wise to settle on your current car for the time being and wait a year or so before getting a new ride.

Your car is what 1 year old? You would take a hit if you decided to sell.

PS: POST pictures of your car already with all these teaser threads about new parts/projects and no pictures to show for them!

Not yet it isn't. Every single piece of aftermarket ANYTHING that has been thrown at this car has been soundly rejected by the ECU. Take the Top Secret R35 for example:

All they've been able to do to this car is put some 20" Volk GT-C's, swap the springs, and add stickers. That's IT. No one (including Top Secret and Mine's) has been able to make any changes to the ECU so far - very 2IS-ish...
