Default Rubbing question

Hi,

I got an 06 IS350 and I want to put wheels on it but I want to be sure I'll not rub... Car's gonna be slammed on Megan Racing coilover...

Here's the setup:

20x8.5 offset +35 with 225-30-20 tire front

20x9.5 offset +45 with 255-30-20 tire rear

Thanks

well, with those offsets in 19's you'll be fine.

not sure much about 20's, but it shouldnt rub to the point to where its dangerous

Its prob. gonna rub with 20's. (good thing you're going with coils atleast)

Should have gone with 19's......then you should slam that bad boy like a red headed step child

Another seemingly random statement.

Explain the difference between using 225/35-19 and 225/30-20 on the front.
They are the SAME dimensions.

So much for being able to lower the car more on 19s than 20.

SAME SAME.

Slam dunk on the 2IS, actually a bit conservative.

it wont rub. those are thin tires plus that rear offset is weak. The front is a bit more aggressive but that 225/30 is a rubberband so you wont rub.

I have high 30's in front and mid 40's in the rear and no rub ever

which is less of a rubber-band/more safe, 225/35/20 or 245/30/20?

225/35 gives you 3.9cm or 39mm of tire wall all around your rim

245/30 gives you 3.6cm or 36mm of tire wall.

From what I calculated when measuring my real life tires, and the dimension I get from the calculations... you get a bit more tire wall than what my calculations gives you

thanks for your help guys! I would be interested in another set of wheels too but the size are a bit different... I wanna know if I'll rub with this setup?

same tires size and same front wheel spec (20x8.5 offset +35) but the rear would be 20x10 with offset +41
