Fresh detail, first pics on CL
Here are some pictures of my car now, a testament to the value of a proper detail. Upcoming modifications will probably be a drop of some sort and an exhaust. Coming from VWs, I've always been a fan of the OEM+ look.
Detail was done by Surfside Detailing based in Orange County. I highly recommend you give Evan a call for either a normal detail or a full recondition like mine needed.

I'll let the pictures backup my praises.
Enjoy.
Swirls and holograms from my last detail done by the local car wash.
Looking better...
A few attempts at scenic pictures.
I'm loving my IS more than ever now.

According to the detailer's website, they charge $625+ for a three-step polish, which is on the high side (to say the least - he's charging around $100/hr!). I bought a RO buffer and some good polishes for less than $200, and have the same results a couple of times each year. However, it takes time to do properly, and isn't for everyone. If you're happy with the results, that's all that matters.
I noticed on his website that he uses a wax instead of a sealant with the three step package. If that's true, make sure you apply a sealant in a month or two, or your car will not be protected. You can top a sealant with a wax, but not the other way around.
Finally, avoid poor wash methods and automated washes, or your car will look like it did in the "before" shots in a few months. If you use two buckets, a good car wash soap, a decent mitt, microfiber towels, etc, you'll minimize the change for swirls.

Car looks great. It took me two hours to work out the swirls on my sister's black 2005 Camry sport edition. Black always looks so sharp when freshly waxed. Love the OEM rims.

I dont want to advertise for Zanios.
They have a very good product. I use it for my black sapphire. Dealer put swirl marks when the tried to buff out marks they made.
I used all kinds of product and finally got zanios and fixed everything.

Assuming you mean Zaino, the swirls are just filled in unless you used Z-PC to buff them out first. Z-5 has fillers in it to (temporarily) hide swirls.
