+1 again, I think it does look pretty great. it is a kill two birds with one stone deal. You can blacken the internal housing and remove the crap amber relfector inside at the same time.

Come to think of it, around 2004, Lexus changed the Gen 1's to smoked internal headlight housings. I think it was 2004-2005.

um... my car is white... i think it would look super taki... if i black out the housing... and also black out the tail light... then i definetly need to get black rims and massively deep black tint... come to think of it... it would look kinda cool.. i wish somebody already had done it... so i could see how it looks !!!

I didn't mean to imply that I didn't like the way it looked, I just think that it's an element of the design that, if you change, starts to look like you're copying the design of other makes, namely BMW, Audi and Acura. Like, it's one thing to put a lip kit on, or add wheels, but once you black out the housing, or even add angel eyes, it starts to look like "Hey, that guy's 2IS is sick looking, but I guess he wishes it had blacked out housing like BMW," or something. I don't really know how to explain it...

Hummm i think auto-makers copy each other all the time so i think the blackout headlight looks great but i dont think its for everyone. Just like how somethings people like and others wont. Everyone have the right to make the car the way they want it. The film is just tacky

I really like the blackout headlight housing. But im afraid i might mess up my headlights or might have leaks in the future. I think black housings make the car aggressive and seem "evil" add some halos in there and im set for light mods

Anyone in the bay area who has A LOT of experience, want to do them for me?

I voted yes, but I think the color of the car does make a difference also. Like a black car with blacked out headlights looks awsome, but I think silver with blacked out headlights would look dumb, and that Sage metallic would also. Red, maybe even Breakwater blue, black, the granite grey, and the black that looks dark blue, those I think would all look best with blacked out headlights.
I think I would black out the rims to match to. Or do that really dark midnight chrome look.

I have BWB. I wouldn't do it.

I wouldn't do it on a light colored car. Just my thing.

It does look damn good on a dark colored car.
