Default need some help please

I'm ready to buy my is350 went to the dealership today and they said they only sale 350 fully loaded with came out to $44k, does anyone know how rare it is to fine just a basic one with no options? they said it would take 4-6 months to order one. I just want a 350 and be happy with it might just have to take the is250 manual they would of sold it to me for 29k

Shop out of state. Out here in SoCal, invoice or very close is not uncommon AFAIK.

You need to define 'fully loaded', which is a term thrown around like cream pies in a 3 Stooges film. It means nothing. A true, fully optioned IS350 can push $50k, in which case $44k would be a good price.

Most 350's are not 'strippers' with few options, so you probably won't find one outfitted like that. Don't settle for a 250 MT if a 350 is what you want. You will be sorely disappointed in a slush box 250 when compared to a 350 from a driveability standpoint. A 4-6 month wait is worth it, imo. Don't let the price be your determining factor.

I would shop around and get what you want. Don't settle for less than your hearts original intent.

I hate it when the dealers try to yank your chain when it comes to selling cars.

try online and buy the car near the end of the month...you could get a good deal as they need to meet the quota....

I noticed in NJ dealers are packing the LL NV ML AND PA packages in most of their IS-350's.

a base lexus would be considered 'fully loaded' next to some other brands, please define 'fully loaded'

I agree that you are unlikely (not impossible, though) to find a bare bones 350 (or any car in this segment for that matter). If you want the 350 and can afford it, get what you want. If you have to wait for what you want, then wait.

Immediate gratification, in car terms, usually means you have low standards, got something you didn't want or can't afford it....sometimes all three. In my case, I wound up with a few options that I didn't care that much about, and a few that weren't available.

Nothing to add, except that I wanted to thank you for your post. I am shopping for cars right now, and I am SO tired of seeing that phrase.

What part of VA????? I know that in the hampton roads area, trying to find any 2IS is difficult enough. And, most that they take in have NAV. Then, take into account that there hardly any 350's that are brought in. So, in response to your question, it will be difficult.

If you don't mind a 3 hour drive, Johnson Lexus Raleigh / Southpoint have a crap-pot of 2IS's, in pretty much any way you want it. They probably have as many 2IS's as my local Lexus dealership has cars period.

BTW, for all of you "define fully loaded" people, look at the MSRP that he mentioned---> $44K. Since a no optioned IS350 is about $37K, that should be a good indication of the options.

You are right. I would call that car "fairly" loaded. Fully? No. But fairly well equipped.
