Looks like a Camry and a C70 mix. Does not have the appeal IMO!!

 

Looks better with the top on but then whats the point of it if looks ugly with top off. The best looking section of the sedan is the top back portion.

 

now if the coupe looked like that, id definitely consider getting the hard-top version

 

This is pretty old, and I'm relatively sure it's not happening in 2009. I wouldn't expect it until they redesign the IS, if even then.

It looks like how the Solara should have been. It has some resemblance to it but the trunk shape looks too weird, as it a tree fell on it or trying to copy the Altima Coupes trunk but more square. They should leave the trunk alone (I know it might have to be adjusted so the roof fits in it) and just make slight modification to the front and rear bumpers and maybe wider fenders and a sport kit.

My dealer said the rumor is it that it will be available mid '09 year.

 

I'm not really feeling that so much..Maybe I'm just a 4door guy.

 

the recent pic posted in this thread makes it look like a sportier sc... not my preference, personally. cant wait til it actually happens tho, itd be nice to see what theyre brewing

It looks, okay. I'm just surprised that, Richie aka Menacing Liaison hasn't posted on this thread, yet.

 

That BWB rendering looks terrible. It Has the proportions of an ES convertible. I'd expect a much tighter, more athletic form for the IS than that flabby blob.
