Yes, I think people care. When you use a horn (even when it's only once or twice a year) you don't want it to sound like that weatherman that saw a cockroach.

It'd say the IS horn is about average. Much better than most Asian cars but not as good as most American cars.

I don't really mind them as long as the title clearly states what it is about. If I'm not interested I just don't click on it. Simple as that.

Wouldn't it be better to go down to the lexus dealer and find out yourself? I mean sound is something that is very difficult to communicate over a forum and through words. As sound is a very subjective thing, it'd be more valuable for you to go to the lexus dealer to find out first hand if it's that important to you.

And to oblivionis,

I don't see the big deal with the horn. It never even crossed my mind to find out what the horn was like before I bought the car. Personally, I could really care less if it sounded weak since what.. you're gonna be using it for all of maybe.. MAYBE 5 secs a year if you honk it once or twice like most people have said. Even if it sounded weak, so what? Would you be embarassed and not love your IS as much because of it? Highly doubt it.

Might not want to do that too much, especially if you have the factory HIDs or even worse aftermarket HIDs..it's bad for the ballasts when you go buckwild and switch the ignitors on & off. I'd much rather honk and swerve around left&right to make them think you're crazy, haha

i like the horn very much, it is loud, and quite esy to hit (almost too easy, i've beeped acking out of spots by hitting it w/ my elbow or something stupid).. my mom's mercedes C320 only has a horn if you can hit it witha bout 20lbs or so of force
the horn is a little high pitched, but... its a horn, it is loud and grabs attention, and makes people look at how sexy i am, so +1 to the horn

Lol. I beg to differ. I was embarrased to use the horn in my last car. It sounded like a clown car horn (beep) At least the one in the IS actually sounds like it belongs in a car.

I think this sounds like a potential group buy idea. We can locate the one below and post videos. I am surprised no one posted this yet. I laughed so hard!!!!
