apparently as part of the fuel recall they are supposed to change the injectors.
well according to my service rep "lexus corporate sent us the wrong ones and we installed the IS 250 injectors on your IS 350"
what a bunch of absolute idiots!!!

There shouldnt be any damage.... right??
There are no injector changes involved in this Service Campaign. What they told you is a flagrant lie. I just read the entire procedure for this campaign. There is nothing done with the injectors at any step of the procedure.

'06 GS300, ISx50 are affected.

I disagree the problem is with Lexus. The problem is with the dealership service department, specifically the service manager. He should never lie about what is wrong with your car.

First off the owner of this car has some issues and the rest of you guys are simply escalating the issue so for the rest of you STOP DRINKING HATERADE!!! and unless you have the ability to address the concern proactively, stop posting. Mods and Admins, I expect you guys to be on your toes on this stuff.

The dealership more than likely completed the campaign as per the campaign publication. What we have found during the campaign is the injector's orings having compatibility issues with the 10% ethanol we have in our gas nowadays. When Lexus designed this vehicle, they had no idea that we would be blending our gasoline with ethanol. In north TX, this is fuel is used at almost every gas station. In certain cases we have the fuel injectors orings developing what appears to be similar to galvanic corrosion in the rails requiring injector and rail replacement. The replacement parts have orings made of different materials.

Seems like the parts department has ordered the fuel injectors as per the VIN # for YOUR vehicle but it could be possible the injectors were boxed wrong. The technician won't have the ability to determine the problem with the fuel injectors until the vehicle were to have a drivability concern or an MIL light up. If so I can't expect the dealership to be the responsible party here. Its maybe a screw up on behalf on Lexus parts distribution.

I'm sure the dealership would go out of their ways to help the consumer if the concern is handled rationally.

PM me your information regarding your vehicle. I'll look into it and get back to you.

-Joe
