I had Full face on my GS400 using Gianelle Mass 8. Now with my IS i like using lips because its more sporty.
I guess it depends on the car........and the style rim

I've always preferred lipped, but you definately have to watch out for the potholes and parallel parking!

They are kinda in between, because there is a lip-component there (albeit small), but the spokes themselves extend to the outside edge.
that's different than the spider/isp wheels, which don't have a flat lip component to them at all.
One could consider this area a lip (see arrow):
BTW, this is just my opinion/perception of wheels. I agree with you that spokes to the outside edge = full faced...usually

Weight and strength are much more critical given correct width, hub centricity and offset.

Isn't it "Baby got back"? Or did you purposely change the title too?

i would say depends on th look you are going for. if you want a race look go for full face and if you want show get a big lip.
i like the look if this rom it is a 18in Primax 618
i know this rim is cheap but i like the look of it

hub centricity and offset are key ti your car driveing good. if you dont have hub centric rims it puts stress in the studs to keep the wheel from going off center. with the problem is the studs are designed to hold on the rim and the hub is designed to kep the rin centered.
