Default Such a Strong Car

Like I said...this car is strong.

Unfortunately, my car got rear ended BAD. I know this thread is worthless w/o pix but i only have an iPhone camera which don't even have a flash on it. (Stupid $$$$$ phone).

I just wanted to share you guys my mini tragic story....just say some lady with a VW Golf going 50mph rear-ended me (I was at a red light..not in motion). She didn't brake or anything. I don't know why or what was she thinking but her car was totaled. Every single airbag in her car went off.

Now as for my car, my car is ugly now. The rear is all gone, the exhaust is messed up, my red-out is gone, but luckily my passengers were safe and nobody was hurt. Although the cosmetic may be bad, but I just wanna point out that when Lexus designed this 2nd IS, they did a DAYAM good job on covering the safety part of it.

I HOPE i can get my car fixed and ready for the Nor Cal meet in February.

Wish me Luck!

(oh yeah, the lady that hit me was hot too)

I'm happy to hear that everyone in your car was safe. Make sure that none of your passengers are too sore the day after; that's when you really feel the impact's effects...

post pics, your car may be a total loss. there was someone last week that was hit from the rear but around 75mph and that car was a total loss with 27k+ in damage.

i hope everything works out for you and glad everyone is safe.

Sorry to hear about your car, but as everyone said glad you're ok.
What's up with all the 2IS getting rear ended? Do people get mesmerized with our rears so much that they forget to brake? Hope you get your car back before our meet, good luck!

I am not sure do you want your car back or not. People said the truck can't be fit perfectly sometime, and that will let the water get in.. which sucks.

Anyway, glad to hear you are ok after the accident.

I don't know why, but I found it funny that you mentioned your red-outs are gone after the 50mph impact.... You think?!?

Sorry about your car. Good thing you are ok.

And are you sure the impact speed was 50MPH and that no brakes were applied in the last second? That is ridiculously hard, and you would have ended up across the intersection at that speed, I'd think.
