I guess I am not the only one with this problem. I just noticed this yesterday and I am quite disappointed.

For those of you this is happening to - do you regularly use automatic carwashes? If so, do you use regular car washes, or brushless?

Mine are perfect and my car is 1.5 years old, so I'm just looking for cause.

I wash my car by hand at least once every 2 weeks. The only automatic car wash I've had are for two oil changes at the dealer.

Not yet, I've been busy and lazy. I'm going to take it in soon.

Sometimes manufacturers just get a bad batch of rubber from suppliers and sometimes the speced part is not durable enough. If this is really widespread then it is likely the latter.

I finally got this service done. They replaced the molding under warranty, but after that I had an annoying whistle sound at speeds over 50mph. I took it back and they replace it again and the whistle is gone.
