Default 90% done!!! or is it???

Hi guys, first of all i want to thank this forum and the good people in it.
Well i started looking at this website since i got my IS300 (2nd generation) here in Shanghai, China 6 months ago, since then ideas are flowing non-stop on what mod i will do on my car. Since it's hard to find imported aftermarket parts/items here in Shanghai the prices are a bit over priced. If i want to import parts from overseas the customs clearance takes 7 to 10 working days and the tax is something like 30%. So i have no choice to put my head on the chopping block.... HAHA....

So far here's what i have done to my car
1. Lowered my car using Espelir Active Super down. I manage to get a drop of 26mm (1.04") in front and 20mm (0.79") for the rear.

This was the most troublesome part cos the workshop ****ed my front right shocks (leaking oil). The shop have to put back all the original springs and bring it to the dealer and try replace it for free, this was achieve with 1 ream of chinese brand cigerette and some cold hard cash. After this was done the shop replace all the original springs to Espelir.

2. Replace my exhaust to TOM'S Barrel
So far i like the way it sound and look.
here how it sound http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vaC5yfOnfk

3. Shop for new wheels
At first i wanted to get the WORKS Varianza Schwert SC1 then i saw the Enkei FS-01, it was love at first sight... HAHAHA. The shop which ****ed my shocks is the authorized dealer for Enkei here in Shanghai so i ordered and waited 1 month for my wheels to arrive.

Here what i got 19x8.5 +40 with Pirreli Pzero Rosso 235/35
19x9.5 +40 with Pirreli Pezeo Rosso 275/30

I also designed my own Aluminum center wheel hub and cos the shop didn't provide it

4. Bodykit
I was searching for the look i want. The thread that Rashood made "links to bodykit" helped me allot on my decision. Thanks Rashoodz..
But the definite thread that made me decide on TOM'S kit was when i saw Knihc2008 car with the Incredible TOM'S kit. Thanks Knihc2008..

I finally found an authorized TOM'S/TRD dealer here in Shanghai, So i went to visit them and luckily they have a set of TOM'S bodykit for IS but it's in Silver. Since my car color is GFM they need to re-spray the bodykit. It turn out that GFM is very hard to duplicate, i ended up with slightly lighter GFM but maybe in time it will be darker since it's been only 1 day since the re-spray.

5. Front BBK
I saw the dealers car which is TOYOTA MarkX with AP Racing 6 pot with 362mm rotor. I ask him if i can fit that on my car, he mentioned that IS, GS and MarkX share the same flat form and its possible.

I ended up with this BKK kit too... hehe...

Also change TOM's brake pad for rear and TRD brake line

6. Aftermarket drop-in K&N airfilter and Rvinyl red-outs(no hassle here)

here what i plan next
1. rear AP 4 pot BBK
2. TOM'S adjustable coilover specially made for China's Road

Here are some photos, i will take some more in downtown shanghai and Thanks for this forum for leaving a big hole in my pocket....

Congrats on your incredible taste, looks great, and one of the very few modded IS300's.

i want to ask you about the difference that the K&N filter did ?and was it the same as the 350's filter?

Ahh... did you tell her that a fx kit will improve the mileage due to better aerodynamics? Dont forget now, 19" rims will also improve mileage due to lowering the rear gear ratio

*edit* sorry i'll stop thread jacking now, thread jacking should only be for older 'regular' members
