Default Center Speaker help ?

I've got a 2007 IS350 with out Mark Lev. The center front speaker does not exist however there is a speaker cover. Can I add a speaker in ? If so, does any one know the specs of it or how hard it would be? Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you

You can physically put a speaker in the hole there, but there'll be nothing to hook it up to. The ML system has a seperate amp designed to output to all the speakers including the center channel one... the non-ML system doesn't.

Would it be possible to run speaker wire to it from another speaker or do you think it would hurt more than help?

It would mostly just be a PITA. I wouldn't bother personally - lot of work for not too much result. Not to mention you'd start messing with impedance if you wired an extra speaker like that. Plus, the stock amp in the non-ML lexus is terrible anyways...

I know! The sound system in this car does kinda suck. Its a lease and Im just looking for some things to help it out. My old IS300 sounded better. Anything else I could do to make it better?

Add a line output converter, an aftermarket amp, and a 10" or 12" sub and I'm sure you'll be doing a lot better...

Can you just take the factory amp out and switch it with a better one? Would it even be possible to put the Mark Lev amp in or would you just go with an after market amp?
