As a point of information:

You don't have to wait for the letter to see if your vehicle is affected by the service campaign. If you go to Lexus.com and register as a Lexus owner by entering your vehicle's information (including the VIN), when you log in to your account any applicable recalls or service campaigns will be listed for your vehicle. I just checked mine (I've moved since I last logged in to the website, so they probably don't have my current address) and noticed that my IS350 is one of the affected vehicles. It's also worth noting that this is NOT a recall, it's a 'Special Service Campaign.' Lexus.com explains the different classifications as follows:

Special Service Campaign
A Special Service Campaign is the Lexus owner notification program to inform customers about specific product or technical issues which require inspection and/or repair. These issues are typically customer satisfaction issues. The described service will be performed at no charge to the vehicle owner.

Limited Service Campaign
Limited Service Campaigns typically have an expiration date and we request customers to take advantage of this service prior to that date. The described inspection and/or repair will be performed at no charge to the vehicle owner provided the Limited Service Campaign is not expired. Please note that expired Limited Service Campaigns are not displayed using this search engine.

Thanks for the info, Javier. I totally forgot about that site. Apparently, it forgot about me too! When I logged in, it told me that it was going to remove my car since it appeared that I no longer owned the car. Whaa?! Last time I checked, it was still in my driveway and I still had the key!

I reregistered the car.... and no Special Service Campaign. Build date of 12/05 and I'm not part of the recall? Interesting...
