Yeah, there is a recall. There was a post earlier. I believe you have to wait for a letter in the mail to get it done for free. The letters are to arrive in December according to the other thread.

Hopefully, there aren't too many 2IS's that were manufacturered before 12/05. It think this will affect more of the GS's.

I guess mine will be recalled too since I bought it in (late) Jan '06. Is there an easy place to find the manufacture date? I might be right at the edge of the recall...

Tag on driver's side door frame on bottom.
I believe the date is on the top right corner.

I got the check engine and vsc light issue about 6 or 7 months ago. It turned out the car was running lean on bank 3 (if I recall correctly).

Just open the driver's door and look at the bottom of the pillar area. You will see a label which has the month and year of manufacture there. Hope this helps.

have them lift the front by putting a 2x4 board on the front tires and roll the car forward and then they can get the lift under it...this is what the dealership does to my car.

gotta check on my build date bought the car on 2/06.
