For example, my old insurance company let me have one moving violation on record without jacking up my rates. Others would jack it up immediately. If there's nothing, there's no way for insurance companies to differ in that situation.
You're missing the point, too.

You hit the nail on the head! On top of that...rates are also dictated by the zip code your vehicle is registered in and how many miles you drive a year. So coverage in Mayberry, South Dakota will drastically be different than someone living in the Metro Los Angeles Area.

Apparently I am. We've already talked about zip codes, personal injury attorneys, alluded to car theft. Other than number points on the license, I guess we haven't discussed risk at all.

What does Lexus Financial require in terms of minimum required coverage for a leased car? I mean, is it $50,000/$75,000? Do you need Comprehensive/Collision coverage?

I just got my updated policy in the mail from the main office of my insurance company. It has the corrected rates that the agent (see my first post in this thread) screwed up. I was origionally quoted $560 every six months but the corrected amount is $418.99 every six months. I'm very happy with that. And I got a $125 check from where I overpaid the agent.!

I believe in higher liability coverage. 100/300 should be the minimum IMHO. Protect yourself and your assests. Lower deductibles are best too.

That's for both of the cars. I had a accident back in '02 and a couple motorcycle violations the past couple years. Without those it was going to be in the 1400's.

How long until they "made you" change your insurance? I've had my car for a month and they haven't said anything to me.

Will they inform you that YOU need to change your coverage, or will they just impose insurance on you without warning?

i don't think so... did you pay off your car?? if not the insurance company will start looking for you.

if you pay off the car and no insurance... just don't let the cop know.

you get a month cover by your last car insurance...
