I detailed a 2004 330I performance package with a Suede steering wheel and the thing was destroyed.... I would not recommend buying one of these unless you can really watch whats on your hands and not get the steering wheel wet. I have always loved suede but after seeing this steering wheel i would never have suede on the wheel. the boot of the shifter and the boot of the e brake stayed nice thou.

Yea, i know someone with an E46 M3 competition package and he said the alcantara on the steering wheel is a novelty but it gets annoying. It 'clumps' up and get really disgusting if you sweat/ have wet hands for some reason. If you get a suede steering wheel you should get some good racing gloves to go with it! or a fat checkbook to buy a new one when that one goes bad.

They feel amazing though..

The comute in the Philly area is rough, but what are guys doing in your car that the steering wheel is all wet and sweaty?
I'm just looking to drive to and from work each day...

Just joking...All good points that I havn't taken into consideration.
